The President of the USA, Donald Trump, announced "major progress" on issues concerning Russia. He reported this in a brief post on the Truth Social platform, as well as through social media channels of the former president.

On August 18, a meeting is scheduled between Trump and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, along with several European leaders at the White House. This meeting will take place after Trump’s summit with Putin, which occurred on August 15 in Anchorage, Alaska.

It is expected that during the negotiations, discussions will cover issues of security guarantees for Ukraine and possible territorial concessions.
