Marco Penge won the Danish Golf Championship, capitalizing on the unexpected collapse of Rasmus Højgaard. Højgaard, who at the start of the competition had a four-shot lead, lost control in the middle of the round.

Penge, who played well throughout, notably made a birdie on the third and eighth holes, overtaking Højgaard after his double bogey on the seventh hole. After Højgaard made a bogey on the tenth, Penge moved ahead and increased his lead to two shots, making a birdie on the thirteenth hole.

Højgaard did not give up and finished the competition with an impressive eagle on the last hole, leveling the score. However, Penge remained calm and also made a birdie on the final hole, ensuring his victory in the tournament.

This victory was Penge's second on the DP World Tour and allowed him to rise to first place in the Closing Swing rankings, which earned him a prize of $200,000 USD. Højgaard finished the competition in second place, while Ben Schmidt took third position.
