Russian airstrike kills teenager and injures civilians in Zaporizhzhia

• A 15-year-old teenager was killed as a result of the airstrike.
• Six civilians were injured, including two children.
• The family home was destroyed, neighboring houses were damaged.

As a result of the Russian airstrike on the village of Novoyakovlivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, a 15-year-old teenager was killed, and six civilians, including two children, were injured.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported this attack on September 17. The attack on Novoyakovlivka occurred twice, during which, according to preliminary data, FAB bombs were used.

Among the injured are the 12-year-old brother of the deceased, an 8-year-old sister, as well as their parents: a 40-year-old father and a 36-year-old mother. Two other individuals, aged 41 and 51, were also injured. All the injured are receiving necessary medical assistance.

The family home was destroyed, while neighboring buildings sustained serious damage.

On September 16, Russian forces carried out 505 strikes on ten populated areas in the Zaporizhzhia region.
