Defending Dnipro and Halting Russian Attacks

On August 23, 2025, intense combat operations continue on the front. According to information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the day, there have been 134 combat clashes, particularly in the Pokrovsk sector, where Russian troops attempted 40 offensive operations against Ukrainian positions.

In several sectors of the front, including Lyman, Siversk, and Kramatorsk, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled numerous enemy attacks. Successes were also recorded in the southern Slobozhanshchyna, where Ukrainian troops halted attacks near Vovchansk and Ambarne.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian troops are attempting to advance, but units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including the Russian Volunteer Corps, have successfully stopped the offensive attempts. Operations aimed at neutralizing the enemy resulted in the capture of 16 Russian soldiers, who were trying to spread fake news about the capture of Ukrainian territories.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed enemy drones and artillery systems. Currently, the situation on the front remains tense, but Ukrainian troops continue to defend their positions.
