Arsenal Signs Forward Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace
- Arsenal signed forward Eberechi Eze for 60 million pounds
- Eze was previously a product of Arsenal's youth system and returns after several years at Crystal Palace
- The transfer of Eze is part of Arsenal's active summer transfer window
On August 23, 2025, Arsenal completed the signing of English forward Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace. The deal involved 60 million pounds in sterling, plus 8 million pounds in bonuses, making it the seventh signing for Arsenal this summer.
Eze, a 27-year-old footballer, was one of the main targets for Tottenham, but Arsenal quickly moved in to sign him after the injury to Kai Havertz. Eze, who previously played in Arsenal's youth academy, decided to return to the club he has loved since childhood.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed satisfaction with the signing, stating that Eze brings important qualities that are crucial for the team. He noted that Eze's transfer is an important step for Arsenal, especially as the team aims to win its first title in the Premier League in 22 years.
Eze also featured in the final of the FA Cup in June, having scored the decisive goal against Manchester City, which secured the club's first major trophy.
