Tennessee Titans are actively working on improving the team after the recent season, where they finished with a record of 3-14. With the upcoming deadline for remaining roster cuts in the NFL, which takes place on August 27, the Titans occupy the first place in the standings for acquiring new players.
Head coach Brian Callahan noted that the team is ready to explore the possibility of signing anyone who can strengthen the roster. He emphasized that new general manager Mike Borgonzi and his team are actively scouting other teams in the NFL.
Callahan also believes that the team has a good chance of finding new players who will support the Titans. The main goal of the Titans is to form the best roster with 53 players by the start of the season on September 7 against Denver.
Among the new players, standout quarterback Kem Ward is particularly highlighted, selected with the first pick in the draft of 2025. Ward showcased his skills during the preseason games, receiving positive feedback from Callahan. In three games, he completed 10 of 19 passes for 145 yards, which raised optimism regarding his future in the regular season.
Callahan began to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of Ward, which are important qualities for a successful quarterback. He believes that Ward can cope with the pressure in the regular season, but acknowledges that he still needs to learn and develop.
The Titans also plan to expand their roster, reviewing players for safety and linebacker positions. Based on the results of the preseason games, the team hopes to find players who will contribute to achieving success in the new season.
