- Ukraine is becoming an important center for military technology in the world.
In Ukraine, active development of new military technologies is underway, including missiles capable of delivering strikes at great distances. One of these new products is the FP-5 missile, also known as 'Flamingo,' which has a range of over 3000 kilometers. The manufacturing of this missile has become possible thanks to the collaboration with Ukrainian companies, including Fire Point, which specializes in the production of guided missiles and rockets.
In September 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the 'Flamingo' missile is the most advanced of all that the country has, and its production has been successful. It is equipped with a warhead weighing 1150 kilograms, making it one of the most powerful in the world.
Fire Point has significantly increased production capacity, producing nearly one 'Flamingo' a day, with plans to increase production to seven missiles a day. This missile, according to experts, could significantly impact Moscow's strategic calculations, especially since it is capable of delivering strikes on key parts of the Russian economy.
In addition, Ukrainian military developers are creating new drones that demonstrate high effectiveness on the battlefield, including the FP-1, which performs most deep strikes on Russian targets. These technologies have responded to the inability of Western partners to provide Ukraine with more long-range systems.
The Ukrainian defense sector is growing, and the country is becoming an important player in the field of military technologies, comparable to the capabilities of the U.S. defense industry. In the context of the war with Russia, Ukrainian enterprises quickly adapt to new challenges, developing innovative solutions to ensure the defense capability of the state.
