Lyudmyla Luzan Wins Two Golds at the World Championships

The leader of the Ukrainian canoe team, Lyudmyla Luzan, won two gold medals at the world canoe championships in 2025, which will take place in Milan.
On the first day of the competition, she won gold in the women's C1 category in the 500-meter distance with a time of 2:01.27, ahead of Canadian Katie Vincent and Spanish MarĂa Cabrera.
Additionally, in the C2 events, Luzan together with Iryna Fedorova won gold in the 500-meter distance, and they also won in the 200 meters with a time of 41.87 seconds.
These achievements make Luzan a six-time and seven-time gold medalist at world championships, with three of them won in Milan in 2025.
Earlier, in June, Luzan and Fedorova won silver at the European championships in the same distance.
