Three children and a young man returned from Russia to Ukraine. This happened as part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine "Bring Kids Back UA," as reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.

He noted that four citizens were returned: three children and a young man, who were illegally taken by Russian occupiers from the Oleshkovsky children's home, first to the temporarily occupied territory, and then to the Russian Federation.

Yermak emphasized that the children had long been separated from their families, having no opportunity to return due to the ongoing occupation. "Today they are all at home, safe, on the territory of free Ukraine," he noted, thanking the State of Qatar for the mediation and the team of the Authorized Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for their work.

According to the information of the Authorized Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, this time three children aged 6 to 15 and a 28-year-old young man with a disability returned. Among them is a six-year-old girl who, after her parents' divorce in 2022, could not communicate with her father, as her mother left Ukraine and disappeared. After returning to Ukraine, the girl will live with her father.

A 28-year-old young man, who requires constant care, also returned. At the moment of the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he lived in the Oleshkovsky children's home. Lubinets noted that, despite the young man's own desire to return home, significant obstacles were overcome to achieve his dream.

"Employees of the Office of the Authorized Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine maintained constant contact with the applicants, assisted in preparing documents and supervised the entire process," added Lubinets.

He recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, 1,564 children have been returned from the temporarily occupied territories and from Russia.

Additionally, it was reported that as part of the initiative "Bring Kids Back UA," two young people aged 21 and 22 were evacuated from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
