In Ukraine, strikes by Russia continue in the Sumy region

• In the Sumy region, new strikes by Russian troops have been recorded.

On September 23, 2025, Russian troops carried out strikes in the Sumy region, including the city of Konotop and the village of Bunyachyne. According to the head of the Konotop district, Artem Semenikhin, three strikes were recorded in the area, resulting in damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. At the moment, information about the victims has not been received.

In Konotop, as a result of the attack by Russian drones, infrastructure facilities were destroyed. The mayor warned about the possibility of new strikes in the next 48 hours due to the increased activity of enemy drones.

Meanwhile, in the village of Bunyachyne, Russian troops targeted two residential buildings, resulting in the injury of a 44-year-old resident who was hospitalized. According to the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov, two buildings were damaged: a church and an administrative building.

Also, on the night of September 22, Russian troops attacked the communities of Nova Sloboda and Vorozhba, resulting in damage to residential buildings and causing fires, but the emergency services quickly extinguished them.
