France began its journey in the Women’s Rugby World Cup with a significant victory of 24-0 over Italy at the Sandy Park stadium. The match was opened by winger Griez, who scored the first try in the first half, and then two more times forwards Halfaoui and Escudero scored in the second half of the match.
The first two days of the tournament brought a large number of points, but this match in Exeter was an exception. Despite the fact that France dominated on the field, Italy managed to resist during the selection phase.
