The capture of Kleban-Byk allows Russian troops to advance towards the important logistics hub of Kostyantynivka, which is crucial for Ukrainian military operations. Ukrainian forces are maintaining control over these territories, reporting that they managed to repel attacks and regain the village of Zeleny Hay.
In Ukraine, Independence Day is celebrated, which is an important occasion for the country, which declared its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. On this day, the government of Great Britain raised Ukrainian flags over Downing Street, expressing support for Ukraine in the context of ongoing aggression from Russia.
