48 out of 72 Russian drones destroyed during the attack

During the night of August 23-24, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine, deploying 72 drones and one Iskander-M class ballistic missile. Ukrainian air defense reported that 48 drones were either destroyed or neutralized.

The attack occurred at 10 different locations, including confirmed strikes by missiles and 24 drones. The missile was launched from the territory of the Russian city of Taganrog, while the drones came from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

According to the information, as of 08:30 on August 24, Ukrainian air defense systems had destroyed 48 Russian drones, including Shahed-type drones, as well as drone simulators. The attack was carried out by aviation forces, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and ground forces.

According to reports, during the attack in Sumy, explosions were heard, as well as confirmed launches.
