In Gaza City, an attack continues as Israeli forces prepare for an offensive
- Israeli forces are attacking Gaza City, destroying buildings.
- The humanitarian situation in the region is worsening due to famine.
- The population of Gaza is losing control due to destruction and the lack of humanitarian aid.
Since the beginning of the war on July 7, 2023, Gaza City has suffered significant destruction. Israeli planes and tanks are attacking the eastern and northern outskirts of the city, destroying buildings and homes. Local residents report ongoing explosions in the areas of Zeitun and Sheikh Dar, as well as about blockades in neighboring Sabra.
Israeli forces have stated that their operations are aimed at the destruction of the Hamas terrorist tunnels, which are used for attacks. The Israeli Defense Minister noted that the offensive in Gaza City will continue until Hamas agrees to ceasefire conditions and releases all hostages.
As a result of the war, the population of Gaza is suffering from famine, with data from international organizations indicating that the number of famine victims has increased to 289, including 115 children. Israel disputes this data, asserting that humanitarian aid is being provided to improve the humanitarian situation.
Meanwhile, while peace negotiations between the parties continue, Israeli forces plan to expand their operations in Gaza City, considering it the last stronghold of Hamas.
