In the third and final one-day match of the series, which took place in Mackay, the Australian team secured a victory over Southern Africa with a difference of 276 runs. Australian players Trevor Head, Mitchell Marsh, and Cameron Green scored more runs, allowing the team to accumulate 431 runs.
Head was the best player of the match, scoring 142 runs, while Marsh and Green added 100 and 118 runs respectively. This victory allowed Australia to avoid a series loss, as Southern Africa had already won the previous two matches.
Australians showcased their powerful performance, securing the second-highest result in the history of one-day international matches. After Southern Africa began to respond, they could not surpass 155 runs, finishing the game at 24.5 overs. Spinner Kuper Connolly was the hero of the match, taking 5 wickets for 22 runs.
The Southern Africa team, which lost key players due to injuries, immediately fell under pressure and lost four players before the ninth over. Team captain Tema Bavuma acknowledged that his team was under pressure from the very first delivery.
