Explosion in a Moscow store claims the life of one person

In Moscow, on September 24, an explosion occurred in a central store known as the Central Children's Store. The incident took place on the third floor of the building, located in Lubyanka Square.

According to information from emergency services, the explosion was caused by a gas balloon. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed that, according to preliminary data, as a result of the explosion, one person was killed, and another was injured. Two of the injured were hospitalized.

After the explosion, an evacuation of the building was conducted, which also housed restaurants and a cinema in addition to the store. The Russian investigative committee has begun investigating the incident.
