The UK Ministry of Defence announced the continuation of the training program for Ukrainian troops, known as Interflex, until the end of 2026. This program includes both combat and leadership training for Ukrainian soldiers.

According to the announcement from the UK Ministry of Defence, more than 50,000 Ukrainian recruits have already undergone training as part of this program. Interflex was launched in July 2022 and currently involves 13 countries that participate in the training.

At the moment, negotiations are ongoing regarding a potential peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia. Along with the latest data, the coalition with the UK and France has developed plans regarding the deployment of multinational forces in Ukraine to deter possible attacks after the signing of the agreement.

The first phase of the program involves the integration of Ukrainian armed forces through training and reinforcement, which will be supported by a multinational group that is located on the front line. The next phase includes support from the US regarding intelligence sharing, monitoring coordination, supply of equipment, and possibly, systems for countering recruitment.

The UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace stated that support for Ukraine will continue to ensure its ability to defend itself today and deter possible threats in the future.

It is noted that the training of Ukrainian troops in Europe is conducted under two main programs: Interflex, led by the UK, and the EU military mission to support Ukraine.
