Gislein Maxvell expresses doubts regarding the death of Epstein

  • Maxwell does not believe in the version of Epstein's suicide.
  • A meeting with the DOJ may involve the Epstein case.
  • Maxwell is ready to testify, but may invoke the Fifth Amendment.

Gislein Maxwell, former associate of Jeffrey Epstein, stated that she does not believe that the financier committed suicide in prison. This assertion adds new theories and hints regarding the circumstances of his death in 2019. Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for trafficking humans, recently met with high-ranking officials from the U.S. Department of Justice in Florida.

The meeting between Maxwell and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch was held in Tallahassee, near the prison where she is being held. According to information provided by ABC News, the purpose of the meeting was to obtain information about possible crimes committed by Epstein's associates. This meeting took place shortly after Congress issued a subpoena for Maxwell.

While the official version claims that Epstein died by suicide in his cell in Manhattan, Maxwell publicly stated that she does not believe in this version. Her attorney, David Markus, said that Maxwell is ready to cooperate with the authorities and testify "truthfully," as they request, although he does not rule out the possibility of invoking the Fifth Amendment for self-incrimination.

The meeting with the Department of Justice sparked speculation about the possibility of shortening her sentence or obtaining a plea deal in exchange for valuable information. While officials have not confirmed, the political and judicial context of the Epstein case remains sensitive, especially due to the ties of the financier with public figures, such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew.

Maxwell's statements and her willingness to cooperate with the Department of Justice could mark a new stage in the Epstein case. With ongoing theories about his death and a list of implicated associates, public and judicial interest in this scandal does not diminish.
