Zelensky reports positive results in Donbas

On August 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced positive results of the actions of the Ukrainian forces in Donbas. He noted that details will be provided later.

At a press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Zelensky stated: "Today we have, I believe, very positive results in Donbas. Good surprises for Russia, I think, that the commander will provide all the details."

According to the data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the past day, more than 180 combat engagements were recorded. Most of the attacks occurred in the directions of Lyman, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, and Novopavlivka. In particular, the Ukrainian forces regained control over the village of Zelenyi Hai in Donetsk region.

In addition, the Ukrainian military continues operations to stabilize in the so-called Dobropilsk direction. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders reported that they destroyed a column of Russian forces on motorcycles.
