The head coach of Everton David Moyes expressed satisfaction with the results of Jack Grealish after his debut at the new arena. Grealish, who previously joined the club on loan from Manchester City, started with two assists in the match against Brighton, helping his team secure a victory with a score of 2:0.
The English winger, who previously spent four seasons at Manchester, aims to replicate his assist record from two seasons in the Premier League in one match. Moyes noted that Grealish has significant potential and hopes that he will showcase it more throughout the season.
Grealish, commenting on his transition, noted that the decision to change clubs was made after discussions with Moyes, with whom he instantly found common ground. He also emphasized that success in his debut match demonstrated the potential for his collaboration with Iliman Ndiaye, who became the first goalscorer at the new arena.
Brighton's coach Fabian Hurzeler expressed disappointment with the inability to convert the chances his team created. Regardless of the number of good opportunities, Brighton failed to capitalize, which led to their defeat.
