- The trainer stated that it is necessary to have available players.
Rangers' midfielder Hamza Ighamane refused to come on the field during the Scottish Championship match against St. Mirren, finishing the game with a score of 1-1. This happened after the club rejected a proposal for his transfer.
The player went through all the training before the match, but when Rangers' coach Russell Martin decided to substitute him in the second half, Ighamane stated that he was injured.
Martin explained that the team received a proposal this week, which they rejected. He noted that the situation with transfers can affect players: "It can open up again, and some players may not be fully committed to their future."
The trainer also added that the team needs to have players who are fully committed to the club. Ighamane, a 22-year-old winger, has a contract with Rangers until 2029.
