Taiwan Wins Its First Title at the Little League World Series

Taiwan defeated Nevada with a score of 7-0 in the final of the Little League World Series, which took place on August 24, 2025. This victory marked the first for Taiwan since 1996, ending a 29-year title drought.
Lin Chien-Tze, Taiwan's pitcher, showcased an impressive performance, striking out the first 13 batters and allowing only one hit in five innings. He also scored three runs, hitting a triple in the fifth inning. Taiwan capitalized on four wild pitches and a passed ball by the superstars to achieve the decisive victory.
Garrett Gallegos, Nevada's pitcher, struggled to contain Taiwan's ideal game, allowing one hit in the fifth inning, but his team could not score any runs. This was Nevada's first final in this tournament.
Taiwan, which has 18 titles in the Little League World Series, including five consecutive from 1977 to 1981, returned to the top after a title drought since the team last played in the final in Florida in the previous year.
