After the photograph was removed from the match, the umpire decided to allow Bonzi to serve again. This sparked a strong protest from Medvedev, who was trying to rally support from the audience, including them shouting. The public actively supported the Russian tennis player, who, frustrated, turned to the umpire, asking: "Why are you shaking? You get paid for the match, not for the moment."

After six minutes of game interruption, play resumed, but Bonzi, who dominated in the match, lost concentration and played the third set in a tiebreak, while the fourth set ended with a score of 6-0 in favor of Medvedev.
