Discussion on Investment in Drone Manufacturing in Ukraine

The defense ministers of Ukraine and Canada, Denys Shmyhal and David MacKay, discussed investments in drone manufacturing during a meeting in Kyiv.

Shmyhal expressed gratitude for the military aid package totaling 1 billion dollars, which includes drones, ammunition, and many other items. He also noted that Canada contributed nearly 500 million dollars to the PURL program for the purchase of American weapons.

During the meeting, they discussed the expansion of industrial cooperation, including investments for joint drone manufacturing in Ukraine.

Shmyhal thanked Canada for its continued support, which strengthens Ukraine and its defenders.

According to information from Ukrinform, the defense minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, met with his Romanian counterpart Liviu-Teodor Nistor, where they discussed the supply of armaments and drone manufacturing.

Shmyhal noted that Romania provided 22 packages of military aid, and the 23rd package will be sent soon. They also discussed the possibility of joint projects in drone manufacturing, including interceptors and long-range drones.
