Meeting of Ukrainian and American teams will take place next week

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that next week there will be a meeting of the Ukrainian and American teams. This meeting aims to discuss possible prospects for future negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

Zelensky noted that today there will be a meeting with Kellogg to continue the preparation for a possible meeting with the Russian side. He also emphasized that throughout the week there will be a lot of work.

Yesterday, there were contacts between the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and the U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, who participated in the online meeting of the heads of the foreign policy departments of the G7 countries on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day. In addition, the president added that today there will be a discussion between the military leadership of Ukraine and partners.

Zelensky also announced a meeting of the national security council, which will take place in the middle of the week. He expressed hope that they would be able to obtain a basic plan regarding security guarantees, but clarified that details will require time to work on. The president wanted to understand from the American side whether the Russians are ready for the meeting and in what configuration.
