Norway continues to support Ukraine with $8.5 billion in 2026

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced during a visit to Kyiv the continuation of military support for Ukraine in 2026.
"I announced that support for Ukraine will continue in 2025 and in 2026. This means that in financial terms - $8.5 billion in 2026, which I will submit to Parliament," he said at a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.
The support program of Norway for Ukraine is a Norwegian civilian and military program totaling 75 billion Norwegian kroner over the period 2023-2027. The distribution between civilian and military support will be determined according to Ukraine's needs.
Støre also noted that Norway considers strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities a key guarantee of security and is responding to Ukraine's needs. In this context, he mentioned that Norway, along with Germany, is jointly financing two Patriot systems, including their missiles, helping to protect against drone and missile attacks, and also investing in the Ukrainian industry for effective military equipment production.
As previously reported, Norway is allocating nearly 7 billion Norwegian kroner (about $696.12 million) for financing anti-aircraft defense systems for Ukraine.
