A New REB Veres-2 System for Combating Drones Has Been Delivered to Ukraine

• The Veres-2 system is already being used on the front lines in Zaporizhzhia and Pokrovsk.

The company "Ukrspetsconsulting" announced the delivery of the new radio-electronic warfare (REB) system Veres-2 to the detachments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Quote from one of the subdivisions: "This system is an effective means for combating drones of the Mavic and Autel types, which carry explosive charges. The capabilities of Veres-2 surpass the indicators of other systems that operate in the same frequency ranges. Veres-2 can perform tasks against enemy drones at depths from 1000 to 2000 meters."

Details: Veres-2 is already being used on the Zaporizhzhia and Pokrovsk fronts.

The Veres-2 system is a compact solution developed using proprietary software and a range of modules created in-house. The weight of the system does not exceed 20 kg.

Veres-2 operates in frequency ranges of 1160-1280 MHz, 1560-1630 MHz, 2400-2500 MHz, 5160-5280 MHz, and 5725-5850 MHz, which allows it to block radio navigation systems such as GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou.

The system can also intercept controlled drones and video signals in the frequencies of 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. However, it is unable to block low-frequency FPV drones that operate below 1160 MHz.

The range of remote control for Veres-2 allows the operator to select working frequency bands, power, signal polarization, and to turn the remote system on or off.

The system has a battery that operates for up to 60 minutes and can function without a power supply when connected to an external generator.

Note: It was previously reported that the 13th Brigade of the National Guard received new electronic reconnaissance systems worth 2 million hryvnias (approximately $48,283) from the company Intellias. These systems allow for conducting electronic reconnaissance to detect enemy positions.
