Dortmund, Germany (AP) — The "Borussia Dortmund" club has made the decision to ban parents of players from accessing the locker room following an incident involving the father of Jude Bellingham. Mark Bellingham arrived from England to support his son during his debut in the Bundesliga at the "Signal Iduna Park" stadium, but after the match, he was caught in the restricted area of the stadium, where he was discussing with sports director Sebastian Kehl about replacing his son at halftime.
Sports director of "Borussia" Lars Ricken confirmed that in the future, players, coaches, and official personnel will have access to the locker room. He noted that the situation has been resolved, but such incidents should not happen again.
The game ended in a 3-3 draw, and Jude was substituted for Felix Nmecha. This was not the best debut for young Bellingham, unlike his older brother Jude, who previously also debuted in the Bundesliga with "Borussia" in 2020.
