Apple to Present New AirPods Pro 3 by the End of 2025

Apple plans to release new AirPods Pro 3 by the end of 2025, according to information from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. The main innovation will be the ability to monitor heart rate, which is already being utilized in the new Powerbeats Pro 2 headphones.

Powerbeats Pro 2 use optical sensors that track changes in blood flow in the ears. This data integrates with the Apple Health app and other fitness services. If a user wears an Apple Watch, the system automatically switches to data from the watch, likely indicating that AirPods Pro 3 will function analogously.

Gurman also notes that Apple is preparing several new products for the fall, including new models of Apple Watch, the new Vision Pro headset, and iPad Pro with M5 chip. In addition to AirPods Pro 3, updates for HomePod mini and Apple TV are expected.

Apart from the heart rate sensor, the new headphones may receive improved active noise cancellation, better sound quality, and changes in design. The previous generation AirPods Pro 2 debuted in September 2022 and received a USB-C version for charging in 2023.

It is worth noting that Apple is also working on a folding iPhone, which is expected to be released in 2026. This smartphone will feature four cameras, Touch ID, and a display without a notch.
