In California, at the Knokx Pro Wrestling event, the son of former UFC champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Raja Jackson, became a participant in a racist incident, as a result of which wrestler Stuart Smite, known by the ring name Syko Stew, was injured. During the show, which took place on August 25, 2025, Raja unexpectedly entered the ring, where he attacked Smite, delivering numerous blows to him.
The incident occurred after, according to eyewitnesses, Smite struck Jackson with a punch during the planned segment. Although the two men initially started the match as friends, Raja returned to the ring and lifted Smite, throwing him hard onto the canvas, after which he began to deliver blows while Smite did not regain consciousness.
As a result, Smite was urgently hospitalized. By the evening of August 25, he remained in a stable but critical condition. Knokx Pro Wrestling condemned Raja's actions, calling them "an egregious, unprovoked act of racism" and emphasized that similar incidents had not occurred for 17 years in the promotion's history.
Law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles opened an investigation into the incident. Quinton Jackson expressed his condolences and distanced himself from his son's actions, stating that Raja had no right to participate in this event and that his behavior was a result of poor judgment following a previous injury.
Currently, the investigation will determine whether Raja faces criminal charges for the attack. The incident has also raised questions about his career in the wrestling industry, as he may need to distinguish between scripted shows and real fights.
