US President Donald Trump announced plans to support European countries in providing security guarantees to Ukraine. He believes that the United States should not be distracted by serious problems in this process.

Trump noted that "Europe must provide Ukraine with significant security guarantees, and they must do this without delay. However, we will also be involved in support." He emphasized that once an agreement is reached between Ukraine and Russia, the issue of guarantees will not become a significant problem.

Meanwhile, Trump added that the USA will provide support, as long as the killings must be stopped.

Security guarantees for Ukraine

A number of European countries in the Coalition of Interested Parties are discussing the possibility of sending their troops to Ukraine to prevent a new Russian aggression.

According to Politico, during a meeting with European colleagues, the US Deputy Secretary of Defense Elbridge Colby stated that the USA will take only a minimal part in providing security guarantees for Ukraine.

Sources from CNN also report that the USA may send its pilots for training missions in Ukraine. Press Secretary of the White House Karine Jean-Pierre did not rule out the possibility of providing air support for Ukraine within the framework of security guarantees.
