Upcoming Films from November to Christmas

• This fall will see the release of numerous sequels and original dramas.

This fall is considered to be a season of continuations, as several sequels will be released, including "The Resurrection of the Dead Man: The Knife's Edge", "Wicked: For Good" and "Zootopia 2". Additionally, viewers will see new installments of popular franchises, such as "Dune II: The Great Finale" and "Avatar: Fire and Ice".

However, the majority of films this season will be original dramas, which have chances of awards. This year, the screen will feature already well-known films, such as "It Was Just a Nightmare" by Jafar Panahi and "Sentimental Value" by Joachin Trier, as well as several new releases from famous directors, such as "The House of Dinosaurs" by Martin Scorsese, "Bologna" by Jorge Lantin and "Hamlet" by Chloe Zhao.

November 5

"The Inheritance: The Last Rites" (Warner Bros., in theaters): The fourth part of the horror series created by James Wan.

"Lightning" (Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions, in theaters): Dylan O'Brien plays a lightning bolt, one of the characters who starts the dark comedy of James Sweeney.

"Baltimore" (IFC, in theaters): Jay Duplass directs this unusual story about a man and his extraordinary friend at Thanksgiving.

November 12

"Dune II: The Great Finale" (Focus Features, in theaters): Julian Fellowes concludes the saga about the House of Cruel in this third and presumably final film "Dune II: The Great Finale".

"The Sound of History" (Mubi, in theaters): Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor star in this romantic drama set in New England.

"The Spinal Tap: The End Goes On" (Bleecker Street, in theaters): Rob Reiner and the company return with the continuation of the classic mockumentary from 1984.

Among other releases are "Nirvana. The Film" (Neon), "Trap for Kings" (Magnolia) and "Long Walk" (Lionsgate), as well as many other films, including documentaries and comedies, which will be released throughout the fall.
