President of the USA Donald Trump believes that Russian leader Vladimir Putin does not want to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky due to personal dislike.

At the press conference held on August 25, 2025, Trump responded to journalists' questions about why, in his opinion, Putin does not want to meet with Zelensky. He stated: "That's because he does not like him."

In addition, Trump discussed his recent negotiations with Putin. He noted that they are about limiting nuclear weapons, stating: "Nuclear weapons – we talk about many different things. We are discussing limiting nuclear weapons, we are also involving China. We have the largest, Russia is second, and China is third, but China is catching up. However, they will surpass us in five years."
