Trump Wants to Restore Relations with Kim Jong Un

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed a desire to restore friendship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. During a meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, Trump stated that he would like to meet again with Kim Jong Un, emphasizing that they had a "very good" relationship.
Trump noted that Kim Jong Un did not want to meet with President Joe Biden, but he is eagerly waiting for negotiations. He added that "Kim Jong Un and I had very good relations... and I still have them."
During his first presidential term, Trump met twice with the North Korean leader. He mentioned that Kim Jong Un "was very nice to me" and that they "got along well."
At the beginning of April, Trump also stated that he might connect with North Korea "at any moment" and confirmed that he has "very good relations" with Kim Jong Un.
