Newcastle's head coach, Eddie Howe, confirmed that injuries to Sandro Tonali and Joelinton could significantly impact the team. Both players were substituted during the match against Liverpool on Monday, which ended in a 3-2 defeat for Newcastle.

Tonali suffered a hand injury, while Joelinton, according to the coach, looked like he had suffered a knock. In addition, the team lost Anthony Gordon, who received a red card and will miss three upcoming matches due to suspension. Also, Fabian Schar was substituted due to a muscle strain.

Howe expressed concern regarding the length of time that Tonali and Joelinton will be out, noting that both players looked good in the match. "This will be a big blow for us," he stated. He also added that the team has difficulties executing moments, especially without Alexander Isak.

Currently, Newcastle has only one point from two matches, and the coach mentioned that the team could potentially expedite the process of signing new players, especially since the transfer window closes in a week.
