Caitlin Clark Signs Contract with Nike and Announces New Collection

  • Caitlin Clark has signed with Nike as a sports ambassador.
  • The first sneakers and clothing collection will debut in 2024.
  • Clark missed 24 games due to injury but continues to trend upward.

Caitlin Clark has become the latest sports ambassador for Nike, expanding the company's partnership with the WNBA star. In the announcement, Nike introduced a new logo featuring overlapping letters C, which will represent player Indiana Fever.

The first sneakers and clothing collection from Clark will debut next year. The logo collection will be released on January 1, while the jersey in Fever colors — yellow and dark navy — will be unveiled a month earlier.

Clark expressed pride in being part of the team of elite athletes, stating: "I am very excited to share the first results of our joint work."

This season has proven challenging for Clark due to injury. She missed 24 games, including the last 15 due to a right hamstring strain, and did not play since July 15. However, she participated in the warm-up before the game against Indiana last week in Minnesota.

Last year, Clark was a rookie in the WNBA, averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds over 13 games. Her impact on viewership and attendance in women's basketball significantly increased, starting from the moment she set an NCAA record for most points.

In red, Nike released the sneakers of Kobe Bryant in Fever colors, which were distributed practically immediately. Clark became the third WNBA player to sign a contract with Nike, following A’ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu, who also will have sneakers and apparel this year.
