The President of the USA Donald Trump expressed concerns about the possibility of a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky. He noted that if the leaders do not meet within the next two weeks, it could lead to "very serious consequences" for Russia.

Trump believes that the organization of the meeting is complicated by a deep-rooted mistrust between both leaders. He also emphasized that peace negotiations require trust from both sides.

At a meeting with journalists, Trump remarked that "it is necessary for them to meet" and that he is ready to "strongly push for it" if the situation does not change. He also praised Putin for being open to dialogue, although he noted that the pace of progress in negotiations has slowed.

The head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha emphasized the importance of specific legal guarantees of security for Ukraine, while the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski previously spoke about the continuation of aggressive goals of the Kremlin.

Trump also stated that the USA is ready to support European allies in ensuring security for Ukraine, but emphasized that European countries must take on the primary responsibilities in this matter.
