With this goal, Ngumokha has been added to the list of the youngest goalscorers in the league, where he is only preceded by James Vaughan, James Milner, and Wayne Rooney. He scored his first goal in the Premier League at 16 years and 270 days, Milner at 16 years and 356 days, and Rooney at 16 years and 360 days.

Rio Ngumokha also became the first player to score a winning goal in the Premier League at the age of 16 during the time of Rooney, demonstrating remarkable mastery at a critical moment of the match.
