Wolverhampton signs defender Ladislav Krejčí from Jihlava

  • Wolverhampton signs defender Ladislav Krejčí from Jihlava.
  • The transfer includes a loan and a future permanent transfer.
  • The club has already signed several new players this summer.

The football club Wolverhampton Wanderers is close to signing defender Jihlava Ladislav Krejčí. It is expected that the 26-year-old Czech will undergo a medical examination in Wolverhampton this week.

The transfer of Krejčí involves an initial loan, which may later become a permanent agreement. Wolverhampton is prepared to pay 7 million euros for the loan, plus 23 million euros for the permanent transfer, which will be activated after a certain number of matches, but the club plans to activate it independently of this.

Krejčí, who moved to Jihlava last summer, played 35 matches in all competitions, helping the club stay in La Liga. Previously, he played for Sparta in Prague, where he won two championship titles.

Wolverhampton has also signed several new players this summer, including defenders Jackson Tchatchoua and David Moller Wolf, as well as forwards Fera Lopes and John Arias. The club also signed a permanent agreement with Jorgen Strand Larsen for 23 million euros after his loan from Seltz.

The club rejected a proposal of 50 million pounds from Newcastle for Strand Larsen, considering him an important player for the team.
