In Germany, the Federal Prosecutor has issued charges against a 24-year-old man named Farhad N. for the murder of two people and 44 attempted murders. This incident took place on July 13 during a demonstration of the Verdi trade union in Munich, where a suspect allegedly drove into a crowd with a vehicle.
Farhad N., an Afghan national, stated that his actions were motivated by a desire to defend Muslims in predominantly Islamic countries. The prosecution noted that he believed he was obligated to attack random people in Germany.
As a result of the attack, a 37-year-old woman and her 2-year-old daughter were killed, while 44 individuals sustained serious injuries. The Higher Regional Court of Munich is expected to confirm the charges against the accused.
