Kai Havertz to miss Arsenal and Germany matches due to injury

  • Havertz will miss the Arsenal match and the German national team matches.
  • Possible surgical intervention for injury treatment.
  • Arsenal signed Eberechi Eze for attacking reinforcement.

Kai Havertz will not be able to participate in the Arsenal match against Liverpool this weekend and in the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches for the German national team this month due to injury. A decision regarding possible surgical intervention has not yet been made.

Havertz sustained the injury during a substitution in the match against Manchester United at the start of the season. He also missed the home match for Arsenal against Leeds, in which the team secured a 5-0 victory.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated that the team is not keen on the seriousness of the injury and will conduct additional examinations. The director of the national team of Germany, Rudi Völler, confirmed that Havertz will not be available for matches against Slovakia and Northern Ireland, and there is a possibility that he may require surgery.

Havertz, who is 26 years old, has already had a prolonged absence due to injury during the previous season when he missed from February to March due to a muscle tear. Considering his new injury, Arsenal decided to sign forward Eberechi Eze to bolster the team in his absence.

In addition, Arsenal plans to sign defender Piero Hincapié from Bayer, but the deal may depend on the sale of several players to finalize the agreement.
