Framework has announced the update of its Framework Laptop 16, which now supports the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics processor. This is the first update for this laptop that allows users to easily replace the graphics card, which was previously only possible in desktop PCs.

The new update includes Ryzen AI processors and a new graphics card. The price for the new laptop starts at $1,499 for the DIY version without operational memory and storage. Deliveries of the first units are expected in the fall of 2025.

The RTX 5070 graphics module has an enhanced cooling system and supports Nvidia technologies such as DLSS and CUDA. The updated display also supports G-Sync, unlike the previous version, which allows for an improved gaming experience.

In addition, the laptop features a new motherboard that supports up to 96 GB of operational memory and two M.2 slots for SSDs. Users can upgrade their existing graphics module with new components that will also be available for sale separately.

These changes reflect the company's commitment to providing greater flexibility and options for laptop users. Framework continues to promote solutions that allow easy upgrades of components.
