Parents Charged with Murder of Their Seven-Month-Old Baby

In California, parents of a seven-month-old baby, who died, are charged with murder. Jake Haro, 32, and his partner Rebecca Haro, 41, received a charge from the Riverside County District Attorney in connection with the death of their son, Emmanuel. Additionally, they are charged with providing false information to the police.
The parents appeared in court on August 26, 2025, after the arrest that took place on August 14. On the same day, Rebecca Haro reported that she was attacked during a change of her son on the street, after which she lost consciousness, and the child died.
Officials stated that the baby has not yet been found and believe he is deceased. The search continues, but without results. The parents were detained in their home in Cabazon and a bail was set at 1 million dollars. The next hearing is scheduled for September 4.
During the investigation, police conducted numerous searches in the areas of Yucaipa and Cabazon, and also reviewed a large number of surveillance camera videos. Rebecca Haro described her son in an interview as a "happy baby" and closed by saying she missed him.
