Dallas Cowboys coach is hopeful for the return of Micah Parsons
- The coach confirmed the possibility of limited return for Parsons.
- Parsons has been sidelined due to issues with his back.
- The situation with the contract could lead to legal consequences.
About this reports Marca, Marca.
The head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Brian Schottenheimer, confirmed the hope for Parsons' return for the first game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 4. Schottenheimer noted that the team wants Parsons to return to the field as soon as possible, especially since playing in football is the best way to improve his skills.
Parsons, who is a key player in the Pro Bowl, has a contract worth $24 million for his fifth year of his rookie deal. However, he recently expressed concern about his absence, requesting a trade, and missing training due to issues with his back, while medical examinations did not reveal any serious injuries.
Schottenheimer also mentioned that Parsons' return might be limited, especially since a plan for gradual inclusion in training has been developed for him. He believes that Parsons will not be able to play at full strength right away.
The situation is complicated by the fact that Dallas opens the season in a crucial match against defending champions, which adds additional pressure on the team in preparation for the encounter.
The team owner, Jerry Jones, also confirmed that negotiations with Parsons are not progressing, and in the event of their prolongation, they could have legal consequences due to possible violations of labor practices by the club.
