Special Representative of the USA to Discuss Peace Talks with Ukraine
- Stuart Vitkoff will meet with Ukrainian representatives in New York.

Special Representative of the USA Stuart Vitkoff stated that this week he will meet with representatives of Ukraine in New York. This meeting is an important step towards ending the war.
Vitkoff noted that negotiations with Russia are taking place daily, and that a bilateral meeting between the Presidents of Ukraine and Russia could happen soon.
On August 16, President Donald Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the summit in Almaty, where they discussed possible scenarios for ending the war in Ukraine. Two days later, on August 18, Trump welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House along with leaders of the European Union.
After this meeting, Trump telephoned Moscow and announced the preparation for a bilateral summit between the Ukrainian and Russian leaders.
Zelensky stated that this week the Ukrainian side will hold low-level meetings with American partners to develop the basic frameworks for guarantees of peace.
Vitkoff also reported that the United States hopes to conclude the war in Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East by the end of the year. He added that there is a proposal for peace, and he hopes that this proposal will be realized.
