A bus accident in Afghanistan resulted in 25 fatalities

Islamabad — On Wednesday, September 27, 2025, in the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, a passenger bus overturned, resulting in the death of at least 25 people. According to information provided by a Taliban representative, the accident occurred in the Argandab district, where the bus was traveling from the southern regions, from the provinces of Helmand and Kandahar.

The cause of the accident was a reckless driver, which also led to the injury of 27 people. This information was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Abdul Matin Kani.

This tragedy occurred less than a week after another accident, in which nearly 80 people were killed in the western province of Herat.
