  • The competition received over 60 thousand entries from all over the world.
  • The exhibition of the best photographs will take place on July 17.
  • The photographs highlight the problems of wildlife and ecology.

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, organized by the Natural History Museum in London, will announce the winners on July 14, 2025. This year, a record 60,636 entries were submitted from around the globe. From these, 100 of the best photographs will be selected for the exhibition, which opens on July 17.

Among the especially distinguished works is an image of an axis deer, which is seen flying on a broomstick, literally transporting a goose for its offspring. Another photograph, taken by Israeli photographer Amit Eshel, depicts Arctic wolves, who interestingly explore their territory on Elsmere Island in Canada.

A photograph by Italian photographer Gabriele Comi, which shows a lion standing opposite a herd of buffalo in the Serengeti National Park, also received a high rating. Additionally, a photograph by Sitaram Raoul from India captured the moment when fruit bats emerge from a historical cave in the dark.

Another photograph, taken by Lakshita Karunaratne in Sri Lanka, showcases a solitary Asian elephant, which glitters in the twilight, highlighting ecological problems that wild animals face.
