In Iran, 13 militants were killed during operations

Iranian media accuse the militants in this killing of being from the group Jaish al-Adl, which claims to fight for the rights of the Baluch ethnic minority.

It is reported that clashes between the forces and militants occurred in three different locations in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan.

It is also reported about the detention of other militants, but the exact number of those detained is not specified. The operation involved both police and paramilitary forces of the Revolutionary Guard.

The provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, which border Afghanistan and Pakistan, have become places of periodic deadly clashes between militants, drug traffickers, and Iranian forces. This is one of the least developed provinces of Iran.
