Draw for the Champions League 2025/26

• The draw for the group stage of the Champions League will take place on August 28.
• 36 teams will compete in groups, divided into 4 pots.
• The first matches will be held from September 16 to 18, 2025.

On August 28, 2025, the draw for the group stage of the Champions League will take place in Monaco. A total of 36 teams will participate in the draw, including PSG, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Tottenham. Last season, Arsenal reached the semifinals, but was eliminated by PSG with an aggregate score of 3-1.

The draw will start at 18:00 British time. After the draw, teams will be divided into 8 matches, with 2 teams from each of the 4 groups. Teams from the same country cannot play against each other.

Teams are divided into groups:

• Pot 1: PSG, Real Madrid, Man City, Bayern, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona
• Pot 2: Arsenal, Bayer, Atlético, Atalanta, Villarreal, Juventus, Eintracht
• Pot 3: Tottenham, PSV, Ajax, Napoli, Sporting, Olympiacos, Slavia Prague, Bodo/Glimt, Marseille
• Pot 4: Monaco, Galatasaray, Union Saint-Gilloise, Atlético, Newcastle, Pafos, Kairat
