Manchester United began their path to the Champions League qualifiers for women by defeating PSV 4-0 in the second round of qualifiers. Elizabet Terland stood out with a hat-trick, and Julia Zigiotiti Olme made an impact in her debut match.

Terland opened the scoring in the seventh minute, finding the net following a defensive mistake by PSV. This goal set the tone for the match, in which United controlled the game entirely. The second goal was scored by Selin Bizet after a deflection from a shot by Ella Tun.

At the start of the second half, Terland increased the lead to 3-0, and she scored her third goal in the 63rd minute. United, who finished third in last season's Women’s Super League, are now heading to the final of their mini-group, where they will meet Hammarby or Metalist 1925 Kharkiv on Saturday at 18:00 BST.

Coach Mark Skinner was pleased with the team's performance, which dominated the pitch, not allowing PSV to create serious threats. Zigiotiti Olme showcased a good game, while Tun, who returned after the Euro 2025 final, played a crucial role in three goals.

With this victory, United will advance to the two-legged round of the third qualifying round in the autumn. If the team progresses, they will reach the second qualifying round of the European League, which will take place in the winter.
